La revista británica NME, publicó una lista con los 100 mejores discos de la actual década. El ranking se confeccionó a partir de un panel de músicos, productores, críticos de música y gente de sellos discográficos.

El primer lugar se lo llevó “Is This It” de The Strokes, álbum debut de la banda. Lo siguen The Libertines con “‘Up The Bracket”, Primal Scream “Xtrmntr” y en cuarto lugar “Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not” de Arctic Monkeys.
Curiosa tendencia que 7 de los 10 primeros hayan sido discos debut de las bandas.
